Major Visible Expected Results

The project is expected to produce the following results:

1. Methodology: the project will develop new testing methodologies that will allow more effective and efficient testing. These methodologies will incorporate the newest testing language TTCN-3 together with requirement specifications obtained from the industrial partners. The methodologies will then be proved in multiple application domains (Telecommunications, automotive, e-business and aerospace) by the industrial partners. These case studies will provide feedback and refinement for the methodologies and insure they are applicable in the real world.

2. Standards: the project will facilitate new industrial standards for the TTCN-3 control Interface (TCI) and also the testing profile of UML 2.0.

3. Prototype test development tools: the project will include implementation of prototype test development tools which will support the open interfaces for test management and test execution created within this project. In addition the tools should include the necessary support to enable the practical use of the developed methodologies.

4. Prototype test execution tools: the project will also develop a set of prototype test execution tools, which support open interfaces for test management and test execution. These tools will be improved and refined though feedback from the industrial case studies.
